AND JUST ANGELA FOR SECOND SEASONS
AspireTV and Kin Continue Their Unique Partnership of Making Episodes of Popular Programs Available on the Network and Social Media Platforms
ATLANTA – September 2, 2021 – AspireTV, the network that celebrates and reflects Black culture and urban lifestyle, has licensed second seasons of the reality series Side by Side, featuring twin sisters Malika and Khadijah Haqq, and Just Angela, starring actress and entrepreneur Angela Simmons from entertainment company Kin. These renewals continue to expand AspireTV’s relationship with Kin, an entertainment company that creates unscripted programming that resonates with women ages 25+, while strengthening the network’s lifestyle slate. The second season of Side by Side will launch Tuesday, September 7th at 8 p.m. ET. Just Angela season two is set to debut in Q1 2022. Shortened versions of the episodes will also be available via Kin for viewing across Facebook Watch, YouTube and Instagram.

Side by Side features Malika and Khadijah Haqq, ride-or-die twins that rarely leave each other’s side, but their lives are anything but identical. Just Angela provides fans of actress and entrepreneur Angela Simmons, daughter of rap pioneer Rev. Run and niece of Russell Simmons, an intimate look at her day-to-day life as a #girlboss. In addition, a recurring segment of the show will spotlight up and coming Black-owned businesses featured on the aspireMKTPLC (mktplc.aspire.tv). The aspireMKTPLC is an online directory of Black-owned businesses where consumers can buy Black and shop with purpose.
In the new season of Just Angela, get ready for an even closer look into Angela’s world as she dives into new topics. From what she eats in a day to running multiple businesses and being a mom to her young son SJ. Angela will also share her birth story and the importance of having a doula, especially for Black women. Angela Simmons is a multi-talented entrepreneur, model, and owner of her own skincare line, Simmons Beauty. Fans know Angela Simmons for her glamorous life as a successful entrepreneur, beloved celebrity, and doting supermom. But despite her family’s legacy, she’s faced her fair share of trials on the path to building her own empire. From Run’s House to Growing Up Hip Hop, Angela has always been an open book.
